Race Driver : GRID Ultra HD Test

We tested "Race Driver : GRID" game from Codemaster using  Radeon HD 3870 512MB GDDR4 Graphics Card with 1920x1200 8xMSAA Ultra HD settings.

The Test Platform:

CPU              -3.0GHz Core 2 Quad Q6600
MB                 -Asus P5KE WiFi
Memory        -2GB DDR2-1000
VideoCard    -Radeon HD 3870 512MB GDDR4(845/2492)
HD                 -Hitachi 7200rpm 500GB SATA2
Powrsupply  -SeaSonic 650W
OS                  -Windows XP SP2 
drv                  -Cat8.3

We did test using the 8xMSAA/4xMSAA/0xMSAA function in the game graphics option menu, we made all other settings to the maximum. We used LOLA B05/40 racing card in the prototype mode to run the San Francisco racing road three times. We used FRAPS to record the average fps.

  • Nice screen shots, I downloaded the demo and played it. Or at least tried to play it. It crashed my system every time. The HD3870 with Cat 8.8 ran about at the speeds in your test. My 24" monitor default is 1920x1200 and it ran great (40-50fps) but as I said crashed my PC everytime. I was happy with the game and the performance and I want to buy the full version and play it.
